All gearboxes have oil of some description. Back in the 80s/early 90s most Fiat manual boxes used ZC90 oil and recommended it was replace every 36K miles. Later years/gearboxes used more synthetic based oils and oil change periods increased to 70K plus miles. Automatic, Selespeed, Daulogic, etc boxes have different oils/requirements.

The M32 transmission oil capacity was originally 2.2 litres of 75W 90 gearbox oil, however this can be increased to 2.5 litres on the Gen 1 unit without any issues.
Be sure to open the fill first just to make sure it opens. You don't want to end up draining only to find you can't refill it.
